If your HeySummit account contains more than one event, a Zap trigger can return records from any event you can access. Add a Filter by Zapier step after the HeySummit trigger when later actions should run for only one event.
Filter with the Event ID
Prefer Event ID because it stays the same if you rename the event. HeySummit trigger data includes both event_id and event_name.
Set up the HeySummit trigger and load a recent test record from the event you want to target. If Zapier does not show one, complete the relevant trigger action in a safe test event and reload the trigger data.
Select the + after the trigger, then choose Filter.
Choose the HeySummit Event ID field, select (Text) Exactly matches, and enter the Event ID from the target event's test record.
Test the filter. If the sample belongs to another event, Zapier should report that the Zap would not have continued. Select a matching test record to verify the passing path.
Place the actions you want to restrict after the filter, publish the Zap, and run a safe test from the target event.
Filter with the Event Name
You can use Event Name with an exact-match rule instead, but the filter must be updated if the event title changes. Event ID is the more durable choice. Zapier Filters are available on eligible paid Zapier plans; see Zapier's official filter guide for current plan availability and filter behavior.
