Require organiser approval before public applicants join your event's affiliate programme. Pending applicants cannot access the affiliate dashboard until approved.
Require approval
Go to Event Settings > Payments & Partners > Affiliate Settings.
Keep the programme Enabled, turn on Approve New Affiliate Signups?, then Save.
Review applications
When a public application is submitted, its affiliate record is Pending. HeySummit sends the event owner an application email with a review link, and the applicant sees a waiting-for-approval confirmation.
Go to Affiliates > All Affiliates and review the pending applicant.
Use the pending record's Approve action when you are ready to grant access. Approved records show the Affiliate Dashboard action instead.
Approval grants access for the event and sends an approval email linking to the affiliate dashboard. The affiliate can then share their referral link.
This setting applies to public signup applications. Adding an affiliate manually follows the organiser-managed workflow. Your event must include affiliate management, and your role must have financial-management access.
