Stop Spam Signups with Disposable Email Blocking

Written by Jerica

Disposable or temporary email addresses are often used for spam registrations and low-quality signups. HeySummit can block known disposable email domains during registration and checkout, helping keep your attendee list cleaner.

This setting does not guarantee that every signup is genuine, but it does reject addresses that match HeySummit's disposable-email and suspicious-address checks.

To turn it on:

  1. Go to Setup > Registration & Checkout in your event dashboard.

  2. Open the Registration Restrictions section.

  3. Turn on Block Disposable Email Addresses?.

  4. Save your changes.

Once enabled, attendees who try to register with a known disposable or temporary email address will see an error asking them to use a valid, working, non-temporary email address.

This works alongside your other registration restrictions, including Business Emails Only?, Only Allow Emails That Include, and Reject Emails That Include.
