Transcription Support for Talks

Transcripts give attendees another way to review talk content after or alongside a session. If you already have transcript text for a talk, you can add it directly to the talk in HeySummit.

  1. Go to Content > Talks.

  2. Create or edit the talk.

  3. Open the talk details step and find the Transcript field.

  4. Paste the transcript text and save the talk.

When a talk has transcript text, HeySummit shows a Transcript tab on the public talk details page for attendees who can access the talk and for event team members. The stage player can also show transcript content for the selected talk.

HeySummit preserves line breaks in the transcript. If a line includes a timestamp in a format such as 0:01 or 12:34, HeySummit formats that speaker/timestamp line in bold to make the transcript easier to scan.

HeySummit does not create the transcript text for you from the video. Add the transcript text you want attendees to see.
