One-Off Workshop Focus Mode creates a simpler attendee experience for events built around a single workshop or a sequence of individual workshops. Instead of sending attendees to a broad event landing page, HeySummit shows the relevant workshop detail page directly.
What focus mode changes
The event landing page displays the selected workshop talk detail page.
Schedule, speakers, talks, replays, and categories links are hidden from the main navigation.
If there is an upcoming workshop, HeySummit shows the next active talk. If there is no upcoming talk, it falls back to the most recent active talk.
You can still manage multiple talks in the dashboard if you run recurring workshops, but attendees are guided to the current or next workshop rather than a full multi-session schedule.
This is useful when you want attendees to focus on one workshop at a time, without the extra navigation that makes sense for larger summits or multi-track events.
How to enable or disable focus mode
Go to Setup > General.
Select Update Event Settings.
Find One-off Workshop Focus Mode?.
Turn it on or off, then save your changes.
Focus mode is enabled by default when an event is created as a One-Off Workshop. The setting is only shown for the One-Off Workshop event type.
What organisers still see
In the dashboard, your talk list can still contain multiple workshops. When focus mode is enabled, the dashboard shows a notice explaining that attendees will only see the next upcoming workshop prominently, while later workshops remain hidden until the previous one has finished.
