Connect ActiveCampaign to HeySummit when you want attendee registrations to be sent to an ActiveCampaign list for your email campaigns, automations, and CRM follow-up.
Get your ActiveCampaign API details
Log in to ActiveCampaign.
Go to Settings > Developer.
Copy your API URL and API Key.
The HeySummit API URL field expects the base account URL, for example https://company123.activehosted.com. If ActiveCampaign shows a URL ending in /api/3, leave that final /api/3 part out when you paste it into HeySummit.
Connect ActiveCampaign in HeySummit
In HeySummit, go to Event Setup > Integrations > CRM & Email Integrations.
Click Add.
Choose ActiveCampaign.
Paste your ActiveCampaign API URL and API key.
Choose the ActiveCampaign list where attendees should be added.
Optionally configure Contact Tagging, Custom Registration Field Mappings, and Other Field Mappings.
Save the integration.
What HeySummit syncs
After ActiveCampaign is connected, HeySummit automatically syncs attendees who register for your event. Attendees are added to the ActiveCampaign list you selected.
If a contact with the same email already exists in ActiveCampaign, HeySummit updates the existing contact instead of intentionally creating a duplicate.
If contact tagging is enabled, HeySummit applies the configured tag when the attendee is synced. You can use {event_title} and {event_hash} as placeholders in the tag value.
You can also map HeySummit registration questions and other attendee fields to ActiveCampaign fields. Fields that are not mapped will not be synced.
If you connected ActiveCampaign after attendees had already registered, open the integration's actions menu and choose Resync Attendees. HeySummit will queue existing event attendees to be synced with ActiveCampaign.
