Kit, formerly ConvertKit, is an email marketing platform for creators and businesses. The HeySummit Kit integration syncs new event attendees into Kit so you can continue follow-up and segmentation from your Kit account.
Before you start
This integration uses Kit's V3 API. In Settings > Developer, copy the V3 API Key and API Secret. V4 keys cannot be used in their place. Keep both values private. See Kit's current API guide. You also need a Kit tag for HeySummit to add attendees to. In Kit, open Subscribers and expand All Tags in the right sidebar. Use the + beside All Tags to create the tag if needed. Connect Kit to HeySummit
In HeySummit, go to Event Settings > Integrations & Developer > Integrations.
Select Add.
Choose Kit.
Enter your Kit API Key and API Secret.
After the credentials are accepted, choose the Kit tag HeySummit should add attendees to.
Save the integration.
Optional tags and field mappings
You can use Contact Tagging to apply additional Kit tags when attendees are synced. You can also map HeySummit custom registration questions to Kit custom fields. Use Custom Registration Fields Mappings for your event questions and Other Field Mappings for standard attendee fields, such as the talks an attendee registered for.
What syncs
After the integration is active, HeySummit syncs eligible completed registrations for your event and subscribes them to the selected Kit tag. To send existing eligible attendees, open the integration action menu and choose Resync Attendees. This queues a sync. If Kit rejects the API credentials or cannot find a configured tag, HeySummit records the issue and shows a reconnect or configuration warning so you can correct the integration settings.
