Kit, formerly ConvertKit, is an email marketing platform for creators and businesses. The HeySummit Kit integration syncs new event attendees into Kit so you can continue follow-up and segmentation from your Kit account.
Before you start
You need your Kit API Key and API Secret. In Kit, go to Settings > Developer, then copy both values.
You also need a Kit tag for HeySummit to add attendees to. In Kit, go to Grow > Subscribers > Tags to create or confirm the tag you want to use. Kit explains tag management in this guide.
Connect Kit to HeySummit
In HeySummit, go to Event Setup > Integrations > CRM & Email Integrations.
Select Add.
Choose Kit.
Enter your Kit API Key and API Secret.
Choose the Kit tag HeySummit should add attendees to.
Save the integration.
Optional tags and field mappings
You can use Contact Tagging to apply additional Kit tags when attendees are synced.
You can also map HeySummit custom registration questions to Kit custom fields. Use Custom Registration Fields Mappings for your event questions and Other Field Mappings for standard attendee fields, such as the talks an attendee registered for.
What syncs
After the integration is active, HeySummit syncs new attendees who register for your event and subscribes them to the selected Kit tag. Existing attendees are not automatically backfilled when you first connect the integration.
If Kit rejects the API credentials or cannot find a configured tag, HeySummit records the issue and shows a reconnect or configuration warning so you can correct the integration settings.
