HeySummit can show a live Twitch channel inside a talk broadcast. Use the native Twitch Live source instead of copying Twitch iframe code or configuring the embed domain yourself.
Before you begin
Set up the stream in Twitch and your chosen broadcasting software.
Have the public Twitch channel URL ready, for example https://www.twitch.tv/channelname.
Start a private or low-risk test early enough to check the organiser and attendee experience before the scheduled talk.
Add the Twitch channel to a talk
In the event dashboard, go to Content > Talks.
Open the actions menu for the talk and select Manage Talk.
In the broadcast setup, choose Live Stream, then choose Twitch Live as the provider.
Paste the full Twitch channel URL or enter the channel name, then save the talk.
Preview the talk as an attendee while the Twitch channel is live. Confirm the video, sound, and chat choice work as intended.
What HeySummit handles
HeySummit extracts the Twitch channel name from the URL and supplies the current event hostname to Twitch as the required parent domain. This also avoids hard-coding an old HeySummit subdomain when the event uses a custom domain.
Troubleshooting
If the player appears offline, confirm the Twitch channel is currently live and that the channel name is correct.
Test on the actual event page or attendee preview rather than testing copied iframe code on another domain.
Browser privacy tools or content blockers can prevent third-party video and chat embeds from loading.
