CRM & Email Integrations

Sync attendees to your CRM or email marketing platform while HeySummit continues to send event lifecycle emails.

Written by Benjamin Dell

HeySummit can sync registered attendees to supported CRM and email marketing platforms, so you can include them in your wider marketing lists, newsletters, automations, and campaigns.

This is separate from the event emails that HeySummit sends during the event lifecycle. Registration confirmations, reminder emails, broadcast emails, replay emails, speaker emails, and other event-specific messages are still sent by HeySummit unless you turn those emails off in your event email settings.

What CRM and email integrations do

A CRM or email integration sends attendee details from HeySummit to another platform when people register for your event. Depending on the provider and your setup, this can include names, email addresses, ticket or attendee details, answers to custom registration questions, standard attendee fields, and tags.

Use this when you want attendees to become part of your broader marketing system outside HeySummit, such as a newsletter list, CRM contact database, post-event nurture sequence, or other campaign.

Do not use this as a replacement for HeySummit event emails. Your connected CRM or email platform will not automatically send HeySummit event reminders or transactional event messages for you.

How to connect a CRM or email integration

  1. From your event dashboard, go to Setup > Integrations.

  2. Find CRM & Email Integrations.

  3. Click Add.

  4. Choose your provider.

  5. Follow the setup fields for that provider. This may include an API key, OAuth connection, account, list, audience, site, tag, or field mapping.

  6. Click Save.

CRM and Email Integrations provider list in HeySummit

After an integration is connected, new attendee registrations will sync to that provider when your event's plan includes integrations. If the provider picker is disabled or unavailable, your plan may not include direct CRM and email integrations.

If you want to send existing attendees to a connected provider, open the integration's action menu and choose Resync Attendees. If the integration supports extra settings such as tags, lists, sites, accounts, or custom field mapping, make sure those are selected before relying on the sync for a campaign.

Supported providers

The available provider list may change over time, and your event dashboard is the best source of truth. Current examples include Kit, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, ActiveCampaign, AWeber, MailerLite, Brevo, SendFox, Pabbly, VBOUT, EngineMailer, GetResponse, Acumbamail, Salesflare, Kajabi, and GoHighLevel.

If you do not see the provider you need, you can use Zapier or contact us to let us know what you would like to connect.

Important email and consent behavior

HeySummit event email subscriptions and your external marketing platform subscriptions are separate. If someone unsubscribes from HeySummit event emails, that does not automatically unsubscribe them from a separate list or campaign you run in your CRM or email provider.

If your event uses HeySummit's GDPR marketing opt-in checkbox, attendees who opt out of marketing emails are not synced to CRM and email integrations. You are responsible for making sure your attendee consent, privacy policy, and marketing use are appropriate for the campaigns you send outside HeySummit.
