Scenario

You are thinking of running a summit but would like to know how much time you need to set aside first.

Quick start

There is no one-size-fits-all answer as all summits are unique. The planning process varies from summit to summit - it really can depend on you as an organiser.

There are a lot of different elements to a summit and if you have had experience in creating these types of events before, you may already have a lot of the parts set up. For example, if you have a network of speakers to tap into, speaker onboarding might not take up as much time. If you have a schedule prepared, that's one less thing to worry about. If you have a large team behind you, a summit can definitely be up and running in no time at all.

We normally see event organisers set aside 2-3 months, to set up, test and then run their summits.

Running a test event before the real thing can be super helpful. It boosts your confidence, and helps you understand how integrations and external tools can work with our platform. It can be hard to know where to start when testing your summit configuration so we've created a guide to walk you through the process.
