You do not normally need a separate event for every attendee timezone. HeySummit stores an event timezone for scheduling and automatically adjusts attendee-facing talk times to the viewer's local timezone.
Set the event's default timezone and language
Go to Event Setup > Settings > Localisation.
Choose the timezone used when you schedule talks, plus the date and time formats you want to use.
Choose the event's base language. This controls the default interface language and date locale.
Plan content for more than one language
Signed-in attendees can choose an available public event language for standard interface text. HeySummit does not automatically translate organiser-written titles, descriptions, page copy, speaker content, video audio, captions, or provider controls.
Use Content > Translations to customise supported event interface wording.
Create language-specific talks or pages when the organiser-written content needs a translated version.
Use categories to group talks by language, region, or track, and use ticket permissions when access should differ.
Configure subtitles, captions, dubbing, or interpretation with the video or webinar provider that supplies them.
Use one event when
Attendees can share the same registration flow, event site, ticket catalogue, and overall schedule.
Talks can be grouped into language, region, or timezone tracks with categories and ticket access.
You want one attendee account and one reporting area for the whole event.
Use separate events when
Each audience needs its own domain, registration flow, ticket catalogue, emails, legal copy, reporting, or operating team.
The content and schedule are different enough that one event would be confusing to navigate.
You can build the first version, clone the event, then adjust the localisation and content for each audience. For event wording, see how to translate your event site.
