Scenario
You want to change the image accompanying your speaker, talk, or summit promo posts on social media.
Primary Promo Image
This is the promo image that is shared when you share the link to your event landing page to social media, for example. We autogenerate one for you based off of the info you input into your other event settings (i.e. event title, first and last dates of your sessions, social strapline, etc). You can preview it by heading to Promoting > Assets.
This image isn't editable, but you can upload one of your own to replace it.
Head to Event Setup > Settings
Click on Branding & Content > Update
Click on Browse next to Primary Promo Image
Speaker/Talk Promo Images
This is the image that's shared when the link to a talk or speaker page is shared on social media. We autogenerate a unique image for each based off of the settings of the individual talk or speaker. You can preview them by heading to Promoting > Speaker Promo Banners.
If you want to replace our autogenerated promo images for speakers or talks, there are two options.
Global
This will replace all of your speaker and talk promo images with the same custom image that you have uploaded. The images will no longer be individualized for each speaker or talk.
Head to Event Setup > Settings
Click on Branding & Content > Update
Click on Browse next to Global Speaker/Talk Promo Image
Individual
You could instead create custom promo images for specific talks and/or speakers which will override the autogenerated and global promo images described above.
Talks
Head to Content > Talks.
Click on the three dots (...) next to the talk record of choice.
Click on Manage Talk > Media.
Upload your image by clicking on the field under to Social / Sharing Image.
Click Save.
Speakers
Head to Content > Speakers.
Click on the three dots (...) next to the talk record of choice.
Click on Manage Speaker > Media.
Upload your image by clicking on the field under Primary Promo Image.
Click Save when done.
If you don't upload an individualised speaker or talk promo image, it will default to the one you set up under Event Setup > Settings > Branding & Content > Global Speaker/Talk Promo Image, or if you don't have that set up either, it will default to the autogenerated image we provide.
Note:
We recommend your images be 1200 x 628 in size - everything else gets cropped/ resized to match these dimensions.
It may take a while for social media platforms to update their cache to replace the old image with your new one.
