Add an optional welcome or update video for attendees. When configured, it appears inline on the standard HeySummit checkout confirmation page. It can also open as a modal when an attendee who has completed registration next visits the event site.
Go to Event Settings > Event Experience > Registration & Checkout.
Find Attendee Welcome Video and choose Yes for Include an attendee welcome video?.
Choose the video provider and enter its video ID, URL or embed code as the selected provider requires.
Add the Attendee Welcome Video Title and Attendee Welcome Video Message.
Choose whether to autoplay, then select Save at the top of the page.
When the modal stops appearing
HeySummit records the current video as seen when the attendee closes its modal or interacts with the inline checkout player. With autoplay enabled, the inline page can record it as seen after five seconds. This is not a record that the attendee watched the whole video. The same video is then excluded from the welcome modal, but it can still appear inline on the standard confirmation page. Changing the provider or video ID makes the new video eligible for the modal again. Changing only the title or message does not reset this. Autoplay may start muted, depending on the player and browser. If checkout redirects to an external page or a custom page replaces the standard confirmation page, the standard inline welcome section is not shown there.
