If you'd prefer to use your own chat solution instead of the default HeySummit chat, you can do so by adding custom JavaScript or HTML. This is perfect if you're using a third-party chat provider or want to create a more on-brand experience for your attendees.
Note: While this option is commonly used for custom chat solutions, you're not limited to that. You can embed any HTML or JavaScript content, such as interactive widgets, sponsor messages, announcements, or other custom tools.
How to Add Your Custom Script
Navigate to the Talks section of your event dashboard.
Click (...) next to the talk you'd like to update and select Advanced Settings.
Select Advanced Settings and scroll down to the Custom Chat Script field and add your code.
Click Save to apply your changes.
Once saved, your custom content will appear in place of the default HeySummit chat during the live session.
