Use Restream’s website player to show a live stream inside a HeySummit session. Restream currently makes this player available on its Business and custom Enterprise plans. Business supports up to 1,000 concurrent viewers across the websites using the player. Confirm current entitlements in Restream before planning your event.
Get the player token
In Restream, open Channels > Add New > Embed Player. Name the channel, review its player settings and copy the embed code.
Find the iframe URL, such as https://player.restream.io/?token=abc123. The video ID is the token after token=, stopping before any further query parameters.
Enable the Embed Player channel in the Restream stream setup you intend to broadcast. The channel’s code stays the same across streams until you remove and recreate that channel.

Add Restream to HeySummit
Open Content & Schedule > Sessions > Actions > Manage Session > Broadcast.
Choose Live broadcast, then Restream.
Paste your token or full player URL into Enter your Restream video ID or URL. Do not paste the complete iframe snippet into this field.
Choose Save and Close.
Test your setup
Test before the event with content safe for the selected access settings. Use organiser Preview to check the player and layout, then check the normal session page separately with an existing authorised attendee. Organiser preview can bypass HeySummit ticket checks and scheduled seeking. Provider access settings still apply. The website player can show an offline message or thumbnail until streaming begins. Restream’s website player does not include chat; its current guide also lists latency and maximum stream duration. If you need a separate test event, you can clone your event when your plan has enough event capacity. Cloning does not make the Restream channel private or stop the same player from showing the stream on another website.
