Manually check in in-person attendees

Use manual check-in when an attendee has an in-person or hybrid ticket but cannot present their QR code, or when your team needs to verify them directly from the attendee record.

  1. Go to Reports > Attendees.

  2. Find the attendee and select Manage Tickets.

  3. On an active in-person ticket assigned to that attendee, click Check Attendee In.

The button appears only for in-person tickets that are assigned to that attendee, have not been refunded, and have not already been checked in. After the check-in is recorded, HeySummit shows the ticket as checked in.

If your team uses the QR-code check-in link instead, the check-in receipt can also show talks already in the attendee's schedule and any other active talks, so you can optionally mark individual talk attendance from there.

If attendance tracking is set to treat in-person check-ins as fully attended, checking in an in-person ticket can also mark eligible in-person talks already in the attendee's schedule as fully attended for attendance certificates.
