Direct Checkout Links for Individual Tickets

Send attendees straight to checkout for one ticket, with optional coupon or talk registration.

Written by Holly

Use a direct checkout link when you want to send someone straight into checkout for one specific ticket, add-on, or donation. This is useful for private offers, targeted campaigns, hidden checkout items, or custom landing pages where you do not want visitors to choose from every available option.

Create a direct checkout link

  1. Go to Revenue > Tickets, Revenue > Add-Ons, or Revenue > Donations.

  2. Open the ... menu next to the item and select Generate Checkout Link.

  3. Copy the generated link.

Generate Checkout Link drawer with optional coupon and talk selectors

Add a coupon or talk to the link

For ticket checkout links, the drawer can include two optional selectors:

  • Include an Optional Coupon: choose an active coupon that is valid for that item. The coupon will be applied automatically when someone uses the link.

  • Register for an Optional Talk: choose an eligible upcoming talk. After checkout completes, HeySummit adds that talk to the attendee's schedule.

Why a talk may not appear

HeySummit only offers talks that the selected ticket can access. A talk may be hidden from the selector if it is not active, has already passed, is cancelled, is an agenda item rather than a talk, is not available to that ticket, or is not available for the ticket's online, replay, or in-person access rules.

What attendees see

When an attendee uses the link, HeySummit focuses checkout on the linked item and clears other cart items. The attendee may still be sent through required next steps, such as venue selection, talk selection, add-ons, donations, payment, or order completion. If the link includes a talk, that talk is carried through checkout and registered after the order succeeds.

Normal checkout rules still apply

The item must be active and not sold out, one-ticket-per-attendee limits are still enforced, and any email or ticket restrictions still need to be satisfied. A hidden ticket, add-on, or donation can still be purchased through its direct link as long as it is active and otherwise available.
