Use a device to scan HeySummit check-in QR codes

Choose a connected device, sign in with check-in permission, and verify each ticket or add-on purchase.

HeySummit creates a unique QR code for each eligible ticket or add-on purchase. The code opens a secure HeySummit check-in page for that purchase.

What you can use

  • A phone, tablet, or computer camera that can recognise QR codes.

  • A QR-reader app or scanner that can open the code's web link.

Before scanning

  1. Connect the device to the internet and make sure it can open a web browser.

  2. Sign in to HeySummit as the event owner, HeySummit staff, or a team member with Can Check-in Attendees? permission for the event.

  3. Scan the attendee's code. If the scanner only displays or copies the URL, open that URL in the signed-in browser.

  4. Check the result before moving to the next attendee. The first valid scan marks the purchase as checked in; a later scan shows that it has already been verified.
