HeySummit creates a unique QR code for each eligible ticket or add-on purchase. The code opens a secure HeySummit check-in page for that purchase.
You do not need dedicated scanning hardware. You can use a phone, tablet, computer camera, QR-reader app, or scanner that can open the code's web link. The device must have an internet connection and a browser.
Before scanning, sign in on that device as the event owner, HeySummit staff, or a team member who has permission to check in attendees. Scanning the code marks the purchase as checked in; scanning it again shows that it has already been verified.
If your scanner only displays or copies the URL, open that URL in a browser where an authorised user is already signed in.
