RTMP Stream Integration

You're using RTMP to stream your videos, and are looking to use it for your talks.

Currently, there is no way to integrate an RTMP stream directly. Fret not - you can still use a platform like Vimeo or YouTube to display the RTMP stream, and then embed that into HeySummit.

  1. Create your Stream under Vimeo or YouTube.

  2. In your encoder stream settings, select the option to stream to YouTube or Vimeo.

  3. Copy the Stream URL and Stream Key from YouTube and paste it under your encoder Stream Key field.

  4. Now you can start your live stream from YouTube or Vimeo.

  5. In your HeySummit event dashboard, go to Content & Schedule > Sessions. Find the session, open Actions, and choose Manage Session.

  6. Open the Broadcast tab. Set Broadcast Type to Live broadcast, then choose YouTube Live or Vimeo Live as the provider to match your stream destination.

  7. Paste the full stream URL or its video ID into the provider field. Review the optional playback controls, then choose Save And Close.
