Recognise a ticket charge on your statement

Work out which HeySummit event a card or PayPal charge belongs to and what to do if you do not recognise it.

Written by Benjamin Dell

If you bought a ticket, add-on, or donation through a HeySummit event, the charge on your card, bank, or PayPal statement may use the event name, event domain, or payment account's business name. It will not always say HeySummit.

Check the purchase details

  • Compare the amount, currency, and date with your event confirmation or payment receipt.

  • Search your email for the event name, ticket confirmation, receipt, or invoice.

  • Check the event website and the event organiser's contact details.

  • If you paid with PayPal, open the transaction in PayPal to review the merchant and purchase details.

Why the statement name can vary

Event organisers connect a payment provider to collect event sales. For Stripe payments, HeySummit sends the event title as the transaction descriptor and can fall back to the event domain when the title cannot be used. The payment account and your bank or card issuer can also affect the final text shown on the statement.

If you still do not recognise the charge

  • Contact the event organiser first because they own the event and purchase.

  • If you cannot identify the event, contact HeySummit support with the charge date, amount, currency, email address used at checkout, and the statement text. Do not send a full card number or security code.

  • If you believe the payment was unauthorised, contact your bank, card issuer, or PayPal promptly for account-specific help.
