Use Attendee Insights to compare traffic from presenter links, affiliate links and tagged marketing campaigns. These reports show visits to your event website, including visits from people who have not registered.
Open the traffic reports
Go to Registration & Attendees > Attendee Insights.
Find the Speaker referrals, Affiliate referrals or UTM report you want to compare.
Use the selector on each report to switch between Visitors and Page views.
You can also open Home > Analytics and use the Traffic insights choices for presenter referrals, affiliate referrals or UTM campaigns. Select View audience insights to open the detailed reports.
Track referrals and campaigns
Share the presenter's or affiliate's existing event referral link to track their traffic. For marketing campaigns, add UTM parameters to an event link. For example:
https://your-event-domain.com/?utm_source=linkedin&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=launch
utm_source identifies the source, such as linkedin or newsletter.
utm_medium identifies the channel, such as social or email.
utm_campaign identifies the campaign.
utm_term can distinguish keywords or targeting.
utm_content can distinguish links or creative variations.
Use consistent labels so related traffic appears together. See Use UTM parameters with your HeySummit event for tagged-link setup and attendee export guidance.
Understand the counts
Visitors counts distinct browser visitors for each source. It is not a count of registered attendees or verified individual people.
Page views counts page loads attributed to that source. One visitor can create several page views.
A visitor can appear under more than one source. Adding source visitor counts does not give the number of distinct people who visited your event.
The proportion bars compare tracked activity within that report's selected dimension. They do not show a campaign's share of all event traffic.
Know what is included
The referral and UTM traffic reports include activity collected after this tracking became available. Earlier visits are not reconstructed.
A new tagged arrival replaces the traffic context for that event. Subsequent page views can use that context for up to 30 minutes, unless another tagged arrival replaces it.
An empty report means no matching tracked visits have appeared yet. Share correctly tagged links and allow time for analytics to process new activity.
Traffic reporting does not change the attribution saved against an attendee or who receives affiliate commission. A campaign visit is not proof of a registration or purchase.
