Some organisers need sales tax or VAT to be calculated based on the attendee’s location. Full dynamic tax calculation is planned for the future, but it is not available yet.
For now, the best approach is to use the setting that marks tax as included in the ticket price. When this is turned on, HeySummit calculates and displays the tax portion during checkout and on the attendee invoice. This keeps pricing clear for attendees and accurate for your records.
Organisers can also choose to apply a general or blended tax rate across their event. While this does not provide location-specific calculation, it helps ensure tax is collected appropriately, avoids unexpected liability, and shows itemised tax at checkout.
