To use Remo with a HeySummit talk, use an External URL session so attendees can follow a join link to your Remo event. Remo is not offered for new native host connections.
Add the Remo URL to the talk
Create or prepare the event in Remo.
Copy the attendee URL for the Remo event or session.
In HeySummit, go to Content & Schedule > Sessions.
Open Actions for the talk, then choose Manage Session.
Open Broadcast and set Broadcast Type to External URL.
Paste the Remo attendee URL.
Select Save and Close.
When the session is available to them, attendees follow its join link from HeySummit. The Remo destination opens in a new tab or window.
What to check in Remo
External URL talks do not automatically register attendees with Remo. Check the Remo event's registration, privacy, and access settings so attendees can join as expected.
Email and attendee flow
Depending on your event settings, reminder-style emails may send attendees to the HeySummit talk page or include the external join link. HeySummit checks event registration and ticket requirements when attendees access the session page. A direct external link can be shared outside those checks, so configure Remo’s own admission rules for your event.
Before going live
Preview the HeySummit talk after saving the Remo URL.
Open the Remo URL in a private browser window to check the attendee experience.
Confirm whether Remo requires attendees to sign in, register, or use a specific browser before joining.
