Scenario

You are using Google Analytics to track your other web pages and would like to use it to track the activity on your event page.


Quick start

  1. Set up an account or property in Google Analytics for the domain you're using for your event (website URL is the URL of the event you want to track, for example https://ida.heysummit.com/).
  2. Place the code (Global tag code and Google's instructions) in the Custom JavaScript block located under Event Setup > Settings > Custom Javascript to utilize Google Analytics on your HeySummit site.

Please note: using our Custom JavaScript will add this script to the <body>. Though the Google documentation says that the tags must go in the <head>, the code will still function from the body. Please contact us at support@heysummit.com if you experience any issues.
