While most currencies are supported by our main payment partner Wise, some currencies aren't. We make these payments with PayPal. When you select your Payout Currency in your payout settings, we'll let you know if we'll be using PayPal.

To set up your payout information on your HeySummit event, follow the instructions in this article.

Payouts are processed on the first business day of each month. Note: for Event Organizer accounts created after 6th Sept 2021, the payouts associated with your account will be withheld for up to 60 days after the last payment was processed to ensure any charge-back fees from your attendees are covered. Once the payout has been sent, you will receive two emails:

  • One from HeySummit, to confirm a payout is on the way
  • One from PayPal, asking you to sign in or create an account so you can receive your payment.
  1. What happens if I don't have a PayPal account?
    You do need to set up a PayPal account in order to receive a payment. If you already have an account, you can use the email address associated with it in your Payout settings.
  2. Why can't I use Wise?
    Unfortunately some currencies aren't supported by Wise right now and PayPal is the best option in these cases. Wise will not permit payments in these currencies.
  3. What happens if I miss my payout?
    Make sure you add your information before the next scheduled payout. If you miss a payout, we will add it to the next month's payout. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at
  4. Is PayPal going to charge fees?
    PayPal does charge fees for payments and currency conversions. You can check these on the PayPal website.
